Here at the Harbour we work like a close-knit family that is highly passionate, motivated and committed to the work that we do.
We are always eager for like-minded individuals to join us who share our desire to help provide vital support that we provide to people affected by the impact of life threatening-illness.
Volunteering can be hugely rewarding. Not only will you be helping us to provide this vital support to others in their time of huge need but you will also be able to improve your own skills and expertise, gain confidence and be given an insight in to the not-for-profit sector.
As volunteer Jenny told us:
“Volunteering at the Harbour is proving to be a valuable experience for me. I felt like a member of the team from day one and it is so rewarding to know that I am contributing to such a fantastic cause. I have also been able to build upon various skills that I know will benefit me later on in my career”.
Volunteers like Jenny are such an important part of the Harbour and we couldn’t do what we do without them.
We have lots of opportunities for volunteers to get involved, including helping at events, collections, office administration, fundraising and engagement.
